Newsletter September 2015
Now that Summer is almost over we are looking ahead to Fall and some new ideas are in the works at the shop. Please stop in to check us out and see what your local quilt shop has to offer. Shop hours for the Fall and Winter will be Tuesday thru Saturday 9:30am to 4pm.
I am looking forward to seeing all of the quilters of the North country. All Quilt Guild members can get a 10% discount with your membership cards. Hope to see you soon.
We now have the new line of Winter Song fabric by Holly Taylor, as well as the Heart Felt line from Kansas Trouble. Please stop by and check out these beautiful fabrics.
We can make you a T-shirt quilt out of your favorite shirts. Bring them in and we will make it up for or we can schedule a class and teach you how to make it up yourself. See attached photo.
Donna McCauley will be offering a class on Free Motion Quilting, this is a great class for beginners in free motion quilting but will also be helpful to those that are already doing free motion. The class is Oct. 3 from 9:30am to 4pm with a lunch break at 12pm.
We would also like to offer a Free Motion Quilting Club that would meet on the third Saturday of each month from 2pm to 4:30pm. Your quilt top is done, now what? You can join the Free Motion Club. The FMC is for anyone that wants to learn how to quilt their own quilt with their sewing machine. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned quilter, a long armer or a sit down domestic machine quilter you will gain something from this Club. This will be a place where ideas will flow and new techniques will be learned. Come and share. Come and learn. Space is limited so call the shop 494-2299 to reserve your spot.
